Poems About Stress – Poems For Stress

Stress is an inevitable part of life, especially with adults. It comes with responsibilities that may be overwhelming at times. When you are feeling stressed it is always okay to take a step back, pause, and take a break. If you are brave enough to accept that everyone goes through stress from time to time then you will be courageous enough to say no to the things or to people that do not bring you joy. There is no need to carry all the stress on your own, or to carry it at all. Take your time to rest and recover and do the things you truly love, before you try to conquer the things that cause you stress.

A Train Of Stress

by Dr Hitesh Sheth

The rats’ adept in a rat race
Buy the tickets from a shrink,
And board a train of mental stress,
Hurriedly in a wink.
The ticket checker is death
Keeping tab on passenger’s breath.
They board in a hurry
And munch the fast foods of worry:
To reach a cemetery of success-
Which treats all with its
deadly gaze
The train driven by a crazy driver ego
Loves to keep greedy rats on their toes:
While rushing on a track of woes
It crushes alike, friends and foes.
Some jump on glitzy stations
And befriend fat diabetes and
Melancholic passions.
Some alight on illnesses’ stop
And are destined to
Slip on life’s slopes.
But some wise ones- known as
Crackpots- luckily win jackpots
They choose to alight at sylvan place
Solely relying on God’s grace.
They stay in a mansion of health
Store peace and bliss as a wealth.
They sleep with longevity-
An ever youthful mate-
And accompany her through
heavenly gate.

Even As A Dragon’s Eye That Feels The Stress

by William Wordsworth

EVEN as a dragon’s eye that feels the stress
Of a bedimming sleep, or as a lamp
Suddenly glaring through sepulchral damp,
So burns yon Taper ‘mid a black recess
Of mountains, silent, dreary, motionless:
The lake below reflects it not; the sky,
Muffled in clouds, affords no company
To mitigate and cheer its loneliness.
Yet, round the body of that joyless Thing
Which sends so far its melancholy light,
Perhaps are seated in domestic ring
A gay society with faces bright,
Conversing, reading, laughing;–or they sing,
While hearts and voices in the song unite.EVEN as a dragon’s eye that feels the stress

Perhaps are seated in domestic ring

While hearts and voices in the song unite.

Oh No To Stress

by Kumarmani Mahakul

How can you drill, how can you heal?
Which pill will cure? No pill is dear,
Who is the doctor, who can too measure?
Who is the artist? who can paint colour?
Stress gives puzzles and crying to you,
Trying several times to break you fail.
Stress is the danger, stress is spider,
This waves clumsiness and you confuse,
Stress bites like poisonous insect,
You tremble in pain and instability,
Hearing the name of stress you fear.
You do not put gear, you do not hear.
Oh! Let us say no to stress friends,
No to stress, let us say and work more,
Awakening self you purify mind soon,
Positive vibrations will wave peace,
Thorns of stress will be broken,
Strong mind will remain in meditation,
No stress will touch you once again.
No pill is discovered to heal your stress,
This is you, who can heal by inner power,
Watch the beautiful nature and green plants,
Grow taller like the sacred fig tree,
Dropping the drops of joy you drink wisdom,
Like the tender leaves you be green and soft,
God’s grace heals stress, instantly you trust.

Stress

by Nosheen Irfan

A head full of steam
Bubbling, bursting
Thoughts going round
And round silent screams
Rationality caught in a windmill
Swirling, whirling
Churning out smoke.

Stress

by chandra thiagarajan

One aspect of human existence is stress
From the very childhood one encounters stress
From school, college, job and family, one faces stress
An integral part of worldly life is stress
Living in constant state of tension is stress.
Stressors are the events that provoke stress
Many different things cause stress
It is a good thing to experience enough stress
It isn’t good to have stress-load which is harmful stress
Intense pressures which last long cause too much stress.
Anxiety or panic attacks are caused by stress
A feeling of being constantly hassled causes stress
Irritability and moodiness are often caused by stress
Allergic reactions, Eczema and Asthma are caused by stress
Sadness, Depression and Insomnia are all caused by stress.
The nervous system senses continued stress
It is activated when in persistent pressure and stress
The nervous system pumps out extra hormones of stress
The body’s reserves are worn out and depleted due to stress
The immune system is weakened because of excessive stress.
From life one cannot completely eliminate stress
But one can control the way of response to stress
Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama can help one to reduce stress
One should not be allowed to be controlled by stress
In short, one should be always in control of stress.
