Love
"Heart's Ache"
Missing you feels like a knife in my heart
Memories of us, tearing me apart
Wishing you were here, in my embrace
Living without you, an unbearable space
Love
"Lonely Nights"
Lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling
Dreaming about you, with this feeling
Missing your voice, your touch, your smile
In my thoughts, you stay for a while
Love
"Longing"
My heart beats with a longing so raw
To see you again, and take away the flaw
Distance just a number, but it hurts so bad
Missing you only makes me feel sad
Love
"Far Away"
Across the miles, I think of you
Wondering if you miss me too
My heart aches, can we be together?
Missing you always, and love forever.

Love
Distance
Distance between us only grows
With each passing day, it seems
And as I lie in bed alone
I'm lost in endless dreams
Of you and all the things we shared
The laughter and the tears
But now it seems like ages past
Since you were ever near
I close my eyes and picture you
Your smile, your touch, your voice
But all I see is darkness now
And I'm left with little choice
But to let you go and move on
Though it's hard, I know it's right
For distance may have torn us apart
But memories keep us close at night
Love
Longing
Longing for the days we knew
When we were young and free
And life was just a game to play
Together, you and me
Back then we had no worries
No cares or fears, it seemed
But now as life gets harder
I'm left with just a dream
Of being in your arms again
Of feeling your heart beat
And knowing that forevermore
We'll never face defeat
But time has passed us by, my love
And now we must move on
But still I'm left with memories
Of days that now are gone
So here's to you, my sweetest love
Though we may be apart
You'll always hold a special place
Deep within my heart.
Long Poems
Tangled in Memories
I am tangled in memories,
Knotted up in your absence,
Trying to unravel the strands,
That pull at my heartstrings.
Every moment we shared,
Is etched in my mind,
Playing on repeat,
Like a broken tape rewound.
The laughter, the tears,
The whispered promises made,
All now just echoes,
In this empty space you left.
The scent of your perfume,
Lingers on my pillow,
A haunting reminder,
Of the love that we once had.
I ache for your touch,
Your warmth next to me,
But all I have now,
Are the cold, empty sheets.
I try to move on,
To forget all that we had,
But the memories hold me captive,
In this tangled, twisted web.
So I sit here in silence,
Amidst the shambles of my heart,
Wondering if I'll ever be able,
To untangle the mess we've made.
For you still hold a piece of me,
One that I cannot release,
And until I finally free myself,
I'll be forever tangled in these memories.
Love
Missing You
In the morning when I wake,
The first thought that lingers is you,
As I stretch my arms and reach for you,
But you aren't there, it's just the empty space.
I miss the way you used to hold me,
The way you whispered in my ear,
And how you made everything okay,
Even when the world was unfair.
I miss the sound of your laughter,
And the way your eyes would light up in delight,
I miss the way you took my hand,
And danced with me under the moonlight.
I miss the way we used to talk for hours,
About everything and nothing at all,
And how your smile could brighten up my day,
Even when I was feeling small.
I never realized how much I needed you,
Until the day you were gone,
And now my heart is achingly empty,
As I try to carry on.
I try to fill the void with memories,
Of the moments we shared and the love we knew,
But nothing can replace the feeling,
Of being held close and loved by you.
I know that time will help me heal,
And that one day I'll be okay,
But until then, I'll keep missing you,
And pray for strength to make it through each day.
So if you're listening up there,
Know that you're never far from my thoughts,
And that you'll always hold a special place,
In the corners of my heart.

Invitation To Miss Marianne Moore
From Brooklyn, over the Brooklyn Bridge, on this fine morning,
please come flying.
In a cloud of fiery pale chemicals,
please come flying,
to the rapid rolling of thousands of small blue drums
descending out of the mackerel sky
over the glittering grandstand of harbor-water,
please come flying.
Whistles, pennants and smoke are blowing. The ships
are signalling cordially with multitudes of flags
rising and falling like birds all over the harbor.
Enter: two rivers, gracefully bearing
countless little pellucid jellies
in cut-glass epergnes dragging with silver chains.
The flight is safe; the weather is all arranged.
The waves are running in verses this fine morning.
Please come flying.
Come with the pointed toe of each black shoe
trailing a sapphire highlight,
with a black capful of butterfly wings and bon-mots,
with heaven knows how many angels all riding
on the broad black brim of your hat,
please come flying.
Bearing a musical inaudible abacus,
a slight censorious frown, and blue ribbons,
please come flying.
Facts and skyscrapers glint in the tide; Manhattan
is all awash with morals this fine morning,
so please come flying.
Mounting the sky with natural heroism,
above the accidents, above the malignant movies,
the taxicabs and injustices at large,
while horns are resounding in your beautiful ears
that simultaneously listen to
a soft uninvented music, fit for the musk deer,
please come flying.
For whom the grim museums will behave
like courteous male bower-birds,
for whom the agreeable lions lie in wait
on the steps of the Public Library,
eager to rise and follow through the doors
up into the reading rooms,
please come flying.
We can sit down and weep; we can go shopping,
or play at a game of constantly being wrong
with a priceless set of vocabularies,
or we can bravely deplore, but please
please come flying.
With dynasties of negative constructions
darkening and dying around you,
with grammar that suddenly turns and shines
like flocks of sandpipers flying,
please come flying.
Come like a light in the white mackerel sky,
come like a daytime comet
with a long unnebulous train of words,
from Brooklyn, over the Brooklyn Bridge, on this fine morning,
please come flying.
Love
Miss Rosie
when I watch you
wrapped up like garbage
sitting, surrounded by the smell
of too old potato peels
or
when I watch you
in your old man's shoes
with the little toe cut out
sitting, waiting for your mind
like next week's grocery
I say
when I watch you
you wet brown bag of a woman
who used to be the best looking gal in Georgia
used to be called the Georgia Rose
I stand up
through your destruction
I stand up
Love
Miss Loo
When thin-strewn memory I look through,
I see most clearly poor Miss Loo,
Her tabby cat, her cage of birds,
Her nose, her hair -- her muffled words,
And how she'd open her green eyes,
As if in some immense surprise,
Whenever as we sat at tea,
She made some small remark to me.
It's always drowsy summer when
From out the past she comes again;
The westering sunshine in a pool
Floats in her parlour still and cool;
While the slim bird its lean wires shakes,
As into piercing song it breaks
Till Peter's pale-green eyes ajar
Dream, wake; wake, dream, in one brief bar;
And I am sitting , dull and shy
And she with gaze of vacancy,
And large hands folded on the tray,
Musing the afternoon away;
Her satin bosom heaving slow
With sighs that softly ebb and flow,
And her plain face in such dismay,
It seems unkind to look her way:
Until all cheerful back will come
Her cheerful gleaming spirit home:
And one would think that poor Miss Loo
Asked nothing else, if she had you.

Miss Lloyd Has Now Went To Miss Green
Miss Lloyd has now sent to Miss Green,
As, on opening the box, may be seen,
Some years of a Black Ploughman's Gauze,
To be made up directly, because
Miss Lloyd must in mourning appear
For the death of a Relative dear--
Miss Lloyd must expect to receive
This license to mourn and to grieve,
Complete, ere the end of the week--
It is better to write than to speak
Love
"Lonely Nights"
Every night I lay in bed,
With thoughts of you inside my head.
I toss and turn in restless sheet,
As tears fall down and heartbeats skip a beat.
Oh, how I miss your loving embrace,
I pray for your return with an unyielding grace.
Love
"Distance Makes The Heart Grow Fonder"
Miles apart, oceans away,
Yet I still love you more every day.
With every passing hour, I feel your energy,
Drawing me closer and closer to your beauty,
Although we're not together, my love for you never fades,
It only grows stronger with each passing day.
Love
"Missing Pieces"
Without you, I feel incomplete,
My world is dark, there is no retreat,
Your smile, your laughter, your gentle touch,
All these things I crave so much.
How long must I wait, how far must I roam,
Till I can hold you close, and never be alone.
Love
"Aching Heart"
My heart aches with every beat,
As I long for your company so sweet,
The days drag on, unbearable to bear,
As I yearn for your return, with each breath of air,
I try to smile, and go through the motion,
As I count the days to our reunion.

Empty Spaces
The chair across from me is bare,
No laughter fills the room.
The silence lingers in the air,
A constant reminder of my gloom.
My heart aches with every beat,
Longing for your touch.
But distance keeps us incomplete,
And missing you is just too much.
I stare at the empty spaces,
Wishing you were here.
My tears fall in hidden places,
And longing replaces my cheer.
The clock ticks on as I wait,
For the moment we'll embrace.
Until then, I'll anticipate,
The day we'll reunite and make up for lost time and space.
Love
Longing Heart
My heart is heavy with your absence,
And a deep longing fills the void.
It's like a puzzle with missing pieces,
And my soul is left somewhat destroyed.
The nights seem colder and darker,
Without your warmth beside me.
Every memory is a marker,
Of how much you mean to me.
I can't escape the overwhelming pain,
Or the tears that won't subside.
But I know that you'll come back again,
And we'll be able to finally confide.
So until then, I'll hold on tight,
To the love that we both share.
And I'll keep my heart burning bright,
Through the distance and despair.

Love
Far Apart, Yet Close In Heart
Far apart, yet close in heart,
Our souls are intertwined.
Miles can't keep us apart,
Our love will not decline.
The days feel longer than ever,
When you're not by my side.
But memories of us together,
Keep me going through the tide.
I miss your laughter, your smile,
The way your eyes light up.
My heart aches all the while,
For your touch, your love.
In the stillness of the night,
I hear your voice in my head.
Wishing you were in sight,
Snuggled up in our bed.
But distance is just a number,
Our love transcends it all.
Our bond grows stronger and stronger,
As we pick each other up when we fall.
One day we'll reunite,
And hold each other tight.
Until then, my love for you,
Will continue to take flight.
For despite the distance and miles,
Our love remains steadfast and true.
Far apart, yet close in heart,
Forever and always, me and you.
Love
A Thousand Words
A thousand words, unspoken, unheard,
A thousand tears, shed without a word,
A thousand missed moments, now in the past,
A thousand memories, meant to last.
Every breath feels heavy, every step is slow,
When you're not here with me, everything feels low.
I walk the streets we used to wander,
Hoping to find some trace of you, my wonder.
The sky still shines, the sun still sets,
But every day feels like a brand new test,
Without your hand to hold, your smile to see,
I feel lost and incomplete, nothing left of me.
I try to find solace in every little thing,
A bird's song, a flower's bloom, the breeze's swing,
But nothing compares to the love we shared,
A bond unbreakable, a partnership so rare.
I miss your eyes, your laughter, your touch,
The way you made me feel, the way we'd clutch,
Each other's hands, hearts overflowing,
With a love that we both knew was worth glowing.
I know we'll meet again, someday, somehow,
Until then, I'll cherish each and every vow,
I'll keep our love alive, within my heart,
A thousand words may be unsaid, but not apart.
