Howl Allen Ginsberg – Poem by Daniel Partlow

~
Howl Allen Ginsberg with Nebuchadnezzar’s
Prideful Madness-Lycanthropic
For this generation’s minds lie bleeding and ravished
in the streets of the libertine-philosophic
Your angel-headed hipsters of darkness marshalling
the hollow-eyed masses to their graves.
Israfel softly sings his damnable odes in the classroom
and o’er the air-waves.
Two hundred million saxes wail false laments
like the butchered-truths of the painter Francis Bacon
But when one prays at the altar of Damien Hirst
(or de Payens) just Who and what has been forsaken?

Howl – Poem by Lucienne Kim Flavell

~
I want you to feel
the insufferable loss of me.
I want you to feel as though
you’re unable to function
without me.
I want your body
to quake and quiver
with the fantasy of me.
I want you to sweat
and howl; to run
in wind and hail,
through bracken, branches
and stinging nettles
and find me
in a queue at Tesco’s
and tell me
those awesome words.

Ravenous Howl… – Poem by Dorothy Kardas, Psy.D. Th.D.

~
Too far apart!
Disfigured by mar,
Despise astatic ways…
(For florid felicity
Cannot flourish
In driblet of fell duplicity…)
Unfold the arduous maze
To reach highland,
Covenanted Place,
Finishing providential race.
Not ever stopping
As horse galloping,
Spitting, spitting, spitting
In the Old Serpent’s face!
Rays from Footprints gleaming
In torturous distance streaming…
Too far apart!
Repulsion of each mar!
Too distant
Hem of Your Cloak
Starved for soft stroke…
Fire within
Needs to be stoked…
Can’t touch Pierced Hand,
Stained in Blood sand…
Mend wounds oh! mend…
(Euphoric Grassland!)
Your Silhouette
On distant shore…
Soul… lapse no more!
Enclose Ring of fire
Crush, burn
Empty desire,
Silence denier –
Perpetual liar!
Sole
Deathless
Inspirer…
……… …………………………………………. ………….
Silence my tongue
When I do not speak of Thee…
Make my pen barren
If I fail to ‘write’ of Thee…

A Werewolf Howl – Poem by Anna Turtle

~
A howl in the night,
Cuts the silence in two,
A howl in the night,
Makes you ask ‘who? ’
It is a lonely hunter,
That stands on the field,
It is a lonely hunter,
That hasn’t yet killed,
A creature so big,
All covered in pelt,
A creature so big,
Whit its head high held,
A wolf on two legs,
Howls to the moon,
A wolf on two legs,
Is going to kill soon,
It is called a werewolf,
Deadly as few,
It is called a werewolf,
If just you knew.
