Goodbye My Friend

Goodbye my dear friend,
A sadness fills my heart,
Your presence will be missed,
Now we must be apart.

The memories we shared,
Will stay with me forever,
Your smile and kind heart,
Will remain with me forever.

Though you may be gone,
Our friendship will live on,
The love and laughter we had,
Will never truly be gone.

Rest in peace, my dear friend,
Your spirit will always remain,
Goodbye for now, until we meet again.

Aging and Death

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain,
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush.

Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

Aging and Death

In Loving Memory

In loving memory we gather here,
To say farewell to one so dear,
A life lived fully, a heart so kind,
We know that you will always be on our mind.

Your kindness and your thoughtfulness,
The way you made us smile and laugh,
All the memories we will cherish,
Your love for us will never perish.

It's hard to say goodbye,
But we know you're in a better place up high,
Watching over us, guiding us through,
In our hearts, we'll always remember you.

We take comfort knowing you're at peace,
And now our sorrow can finally cease,
You may be gone but not forgotten,
In our hearts, you'll remain forever and often.

Aging and Death

Elegy for a Departed Soul

Beyond this life, beyond this world,
Your spirit's wings are now unfurled,
And as you soar into the skies,
Our hearts are left to mourn and cry.

We'll miss your gentle touch and smile,
Your laughter that could light up miles,
Your wisdom, kindness, and your grace,
Your steady hand that kept the pace.

We'll cherish all the memories,
And keep them close to ease the pleas,
Of grief and loss that now pervade,
Our souls that crave for your sweet shade.

But in the end, we must let go,
And trust that you have found the flow,
Of life eternal, bright and true,
Where every dream is born anew.

So fly, dear soul, fly high and far,
Into the light that's not afar,
And know that though we may be sad,
We honor you, and are so glad,

To have known you in this life we share,
And loved you with a heart that cares.
Rest in peace, dear one, and know,
That we will miss you, but must let go.
