In the time of Belle Epoque,
A world of beauty and grace,
Where art and poetry spoke,
Of love that held a special place.
In the city of light and charm,
Where elegance reigned supreme,
Amidst the cafes and boulevards,
Was a love that was a dream.
A love that bloomed in springtime,
Like the flowers that adorned the street,
A love that shone in the sun,
And danced in the summer heat.
In the autumn leaves that fell,
And painted the sidewalks gold,
Their love continued to swell,
Growing deeper, never growing old.
As the winter snows began to fall,
Their love remained ever strong,
For in each other they found all,
That could ever possibly belong.
As Belle Epoque came to an end,
Their love continued to thrive,
For though time may pass and bend,
Their love remained, always alive.
Forever and always, they vowed,
Their love would never fade,
For in each other they found,
A love that would forever stay.

Les Feuilles d'Automne (The Autumn Leaves)
Once upon an autumn day,
As the leaves were falling away,
I saw her walking by the Seine,
And my heart was never the same.
Her beauty was like the changing sky,
With shades of gold and red and dye,
And her eyes were like the deepest pools,
That could drown a man and make him a fool.
At first I tried to stay away,
Afraid of what my heart might say,
But every time I saw her face,
I longed to hold her in a tender embrace.
So one day I took the chance,
And asked her out to dance,
With trembling hands and pounding heart,
I knew from then we'd never part.
Our love bloomed like a rose in spring,
And every day my heart would sing,
Until the day we said our vows,
And promised to love each other through every bough.
Now as I sit by the Seine,
Watching the leaves fall once again,
I thank the heavens for her love,
And the autumn day when I saw her from above.
For she is my heart, my soul, my all,
And I will love her till the end of my fall.
