Valentine Day Poem

Be My Valentine
Author: Nicholas Gordon

Be my Valentine, my love,
As I will be for you,
And we will love the whole day long,
And love our whole lives through.

For love has no parameters
And does not end with time,
But is the gift of paradise,
A pinch of the sublime.
So let us take this holiday
To resubmit our love
To those within that know no sin
And with the angels move.

For My Love
Author: © Gabor Timis

You are my dream, my life, my all
You are more than I ever had before
Lets celebrate our love with all
Lets renew our vows once more.
Hold my hand and don’t let go
Open your heart to feel our love grow
Be my valentine, my dear, be my valentine
For as along as we have living time.

My dear sweetheart, be my valentine
With all my heart I’d like you be mine,
Not just today, not just a day,
But all the time, every single day.

If You Would Be My Valentine
Author: Norman Hale Jr., submitted by Carla Souza

If you would be my valentine
My heart would surely glow
And if you’d be my valentine
I’d want the world to know
If you would be my valentine
My eyes could finally rest
For my heart already knows
That you would be the best

If you would be my valentine
I would want the world to see
That I have found the perfect valentine
The one just for me
If you would be my valentine
My world would be much brighter
So put those precious arms around me
And hold me that much tighter
If you would be my valentine
My heart might do flips
For when I think of you
It already begins its skips
If you would be my valentine
My eyes would surely shine
So won’t you please tell me YES
THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MINE.

Be My Valentine
Author: Harry Bryant

Be my valentine,
say that you are mine,
and will be for all time,
let our hearts entwine
be my valentine.
All of your allures,
told me I’m your’s,
as long as life endures,
be my valentine.
Tell me that you care,
I always will be there,
with everything to share,
be my valentine.
Your personality,
is perfect just for me,
I love you, don’t you see,
be valentine.
Share with me, your heart,
give our love a start,
we will never part,
be my valentine.
I pray to God above,
to send me your love,
cupid, give her a shove,
be my valentine.
When you dream at night,
with your eyes shut tight,
let me be your light,
be my valentine.
When you sing a song,
tell me I belong,
in your heart so strong,
be my valentine.
When I think of you,
I hope you’re thinking too,
about my love so true,
be my valentine,
In the east or west,
you know I love you best,
so give up the all rest,
and be my valentine.
No matter what the season,
it’s you I should be pleasing,
I love you is the reason,
be my Valentine.

Beginnings
Author: April Quinlan

Our souls were one when time began.
When God was busy creating both earth and man.
Then came the day He tore us apart,
Forever making us, each others, “split apart”.

He chiseled your name upon my heart,
Before sending us down for our lives to start.
Years would go by and the hour grow late,
Destiny beaconed and called upon fate.
Life came full circle for our two souls to meet.
We take not for granted this miraculous feat.

For God had a plan at the beginning of time,
That would bring our hearts together rejoining your soul and mine.

Once what was one, was made into two.
I know in my heart, I’m not complete without you.

Be My Valentine
Author: Cathy Boulanger

I never knew desire so consuming with demands,
I never felt such hunger for the touch of someone’s hands.
Can’t explain the yearning to be held within your arms
Completely captivated by your innocence and charms.
I’m sure it seems insane to some to lose my heart this way
It’s like I’ve no control in this, it’s stronger every day.

Tell me, my sweet Valentine, things I long to hear
Whisper secrets, hopes and dreams softly in my ear.
To wake and find you next to me would be the greatest sight
Tell me it’s the same for you, and please be mine tonight?

I Want To Be Your Valentine
Author: Anonymous

Oh precious, oh precious please be mine
I want to be your Valentine
I’ll do anything to be your rose
I want to be the Valentine you chose
Hold my hand and don’t let go
Open your heart and feel our love grow.

Lock me in your heart just for a day
Feeling your love while reality fades away
I’ll wait year after year
Crying and sobbing tear after tear
Oh precious, oh precious please be mine
I want to be your Valentine!

Lovers’ Infiniteness
Author: John Donne (1572-1631)

If yet I have not all thy love,
Dear, I shall never have it all;
I cannot breathe one other sigh, to move,
Nor can intreat one other tear to fall;
And all my treasure, which should purchase thee –
Sighs, tears, and oaths, and letters – I have spent.
Yet no more can be due to me,
Than at the bargain made was meant;
If then thy gift of love were partial,
That some to me, some should to others fall,
Dear, I shall never have thee all.

Or if then thou gavest me all,
All was but all, which thou hadst then;
But if in thy heart, since, there be or shall
New love created be, by other men,
Which have their stocks entire, and can in tears,
In sighs, in oaths, and letters, outbid me,
This new love may beget new fears,
For this love was not vow’d by thee.
And yet it was, thy gift being general;
The ground, thy heart, is mine; whatever shall
Grow there, dear, I should have it all.
Yet I would not have all yet,
He that hath all can have no more;
And since my love doth every day admit
New growth, thou shouldst have new rewards in store;
Thou canst not every day give me thy heart,
If thou canst give it, then thou never gavest it;
Love’s riddles are, that though thy heart depart,
It stays at home, and thou with losing savest it;
But we will have a way more liberal,
Than changing hearts, to join them; so we shall
Be one, and one another’s all.

My Feelings
Unknown

I just want to be with you,
Baby no one else will do.
I know I say I love you often,
But every word I say is true.
I wrote your name in my heart,
And forever it will stay.
I know we have our ups and downs,
But no relationship is perfect.
And by the end of the argument
The confrontation wasn’t even worth it.
People try to break us every day,
over and over again.
I don’t let it get to me
Because I know who has won in the end.
I love your smile, your intelligence,
And everything you do.
I thank God faithfully that he sent you.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
