Trees

Ancient Sentinels

Amidst the grove where oaks stand tall,
Oak grove whispers, in forest's call.
Bark that ages in earth's embrace,
Oak's whispers, in woodland's trace.
Leaves that rustle in autumn's sigh,
Oak grove poems, in forest's high.
Amidst the deer and owl's reprieve,
Oak whispers, in wood's achieve.
Each tree that guards, a woodland's tale,
Oak grove poems, in forest's scale.
In the forest's embrace, their whispers blend,
Oak's strength, in woodland's extend.
Mosses cling to ancient boughs,
Oak's whispers, in woodland's vows.
Sunlight filters through leafy green,
Oak grove poems, in forest's sheen.

Oak Grove's Giggle

In an oak grove so serene,
The trees would giggle, unseen.
"Why do squirrels gather nuts?
To throw at us, those little guts!"
The animals laughed, joined the cheer,
In the oak grove's fun so near.
With each laugh, joy would spread,
In the grove's leafy bed.

Oak Grove's Opera

An oak grove loved to sing a tune,
In the evening, beneath the moon.
"La la la!" they'd hum with cheer,
As the stars drew near.
They'd join in the grove's song,
In a chorus, loud and strong.
With each note, laughter would grow,
In the grove's musical show.
