01

Aging and Death

"Empty Chair"

Sitting in your empty chair,
I can't believe you're not there.
My heart is heavy with regret,
Why didn't I say "I love you" yet?

02

Aging and Death

"Whispers of Memories"

Your voice echoes in my mind,
Whispers of memories left behind.
I miss your laughter, your smile, your wit,
And all the moments we'll never forget.

03

Aging and Death

"Gone Too Soon"

You left us all too soon,
Leaving our hearts in ruin.
We didn't get to say goodbye,
But we'll hold you in our hearts and try.

04

Aging and Death

"Eternal Love"

Even though you're gone,
Our love for you carries on.
You'll always be a part of us,
In memories, photos, and stories we trust.

Aging and Death

"Memories of You"

Memories of you,
Are all that I have now,
Thinking of the times we had,
Makes me smile and bow.

Your gentle smile,
Your wise advice,
Your loving arms,
Not around to suffice.

But I take solace,
In the precious memories,
And vow to keep them,
Safe, for eternity.

Aging and Death

"What I Would Give"

What I wouldn't give,
To have you back with me,
To hear your voice,
To hold you and see.

My heart aches,
For the love that's gone,
Wishing with all my might,
That it wasn't so wrong.

But I know you're watching,
From up there in the sky,
And I'll love you always,
As the years go by.

07

Aging and Death

"Unforgettable and Incomparable"

You were the light in my life,
When all was dark and drear,
Your love was my anchor,
That kept me safe and near.

Now that you're gone,
I miss you more than words can say,
But your memory fills my heart,
And carries me through each day.

You were truly unforgettable,
And incomparable too,
For nothing and no one,
Could ever replace you.

Long Poems

Forever Remembered, Forever Missed

Grandpa, it's been a long, long time
Since I've heard your voice or saw your smile.
I still remember how you smelled of aftershave and time,
And how you'd spin me round in circles for a while.

It's hard to believe you're really gone,
After all those years of laughter and fun.
But I cherish the memories that we made,
And I'm thankful for the time that we had.

I remember how you'd tell me stories
Of your time in the army and your youth.
I'd sit transfixed, listening for hours,
Learning about a life that was full of truth.

You were always the one who made me feel special,
Even when I didn't think I deserved it.
You were there for me, no matter what,
And I always knew I could count on it.

I miss all the times we spent together,
Playing cards or watching TV.
I miss your kind words of encouragement,
And your wisdom that helped guide me.

Every day I wish I could turn back time,
And have just one more moment with you.
To tell you that I love you one more time,
And show you just how much you meant to me, too.

But even though you're no longer here,
I know that you're still watching over me.
Your love and your guidance will always be near,
And I'll forever remember how you helped me be.

I love you, grandpa, with all my heart,
And I know we'll meet again someday.
Until then, I'll hold on to the memories,
And keep you forever in my heart to stay.

Rest in peace, grandpa, forever remembered, forever missed.
