Short Poems

1. “Empty Womb”

Aching emptiness
A dream that couldn’t be held
My heart shattered, still.

2. “Goodbye, Little One”

Farewell, sweet angel
A love that will never fade
Grief weighs heavy still.

3. “Silent Sorrow”

So much left unsaid
My heart breaking day by day
Silent sorrow’s grip.

4. “In His Hands”

I trust in His plan
Though tears blind my hopeful eyes
Our love forever.

Medium Poems

Silent Sorrow

Silent sorrow consumes my heart,
As I mourn what could have been.
The dreams we had before we start,
Are now lost in the wind.

A tiny life that never was,
A soul so pure and true.
In our arms, we’ll never hold,
The baby who we never knew.

We wade through tears and pain,
As we try to heal our broken hearts.
While life still goes on again,
And our grief slowly departs.

But the memory of our little one,
Will never fade away.
Forever in our hearts,
Our dear angel will always stay.

Whispers in the Wind

Whispers in the wind,
Carry my broken heart.
The life within me gone,
Torn forever apart.

A dream of motherhood,
So beautiful and bright,
Now fades into blackness,
As the day turns into night.

The pain never leaves,
As I long for what should be.
But instead, I’m left with grief,
And the question ‘Why not me?’

In the midst of darkness,
A flicker of hope appears.
As I know I’m never alone,
And love surrounds me through the tears.

The whispers in the wind,
Bring comfort to my soul.
As I know my baby’s spirit,
Will always make me whole.

Long Poems

Forever in My Heart

I dreamed of you before we even met
A tiny life growing inside my belly
I couldn’t wait to hold you close
To watch you grow and learn and smile
But fate had other plans for us

The day came when I felt a twinge of pain
And I knew something was wrong
I rushed to the hospital with a sense of dread
And the doctor’s words were like a knife through my heart

We’re sorry, there’s no heartbeat. You’ve had a miscarriage.

My world crumbled around me
I didn’t know how to go on without you
I felt empty and lost and broken
But somehow, I managed to keep breathing

Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months
And life went on, even though I didn’t want it to
I felt like a shell of a person, with nothing left inside
But slowly, I started to find my way back to the light

I still think of you every single day
Wondering what might have been
But I know that you’re in a better place
Free from pain, and loved more than you could ever know

So I’ll keep you forever in my heart
And remember the love that I felt
Even though we never got to meet in this world
I know that we’ll be together again someday.

The Loss That Never Leaves

It starts as a flutter, a tiny spark of hope
A new life beginning, a gift to help us cope
We dream of the future, of all that will be
We hold onto the promise of a new family tree

But sometimes it ends, without any warning
A life that never fully formed, a heart that stopped beating
The hopes and the dreams that we dared to conceive
Are now ripped away, lost and taken by grief

The pain is overwhelming, a crushing weight
A loss that never truly leaves, no matter how much time we wait
Our bodies may heal, but our hearts remain shattered
The emptiness and ache, a constant reminder of what mattered

We wonder what went wrong, if we could have done more
But the truth is, sometimes life is unfair and we can’t ignore
That death is a part of life, an unwelcome guest
That steals away what we thought we had, leaving us distressed

We grieve for what could have been, for the life we never knew
For the laughter and the joy, for the moments that are now few
We wonder who they would have been, what they would have done
And we mourn the milestones that will never come

But even in the darkness, there is a glimmer of light
A sense that the love we held will never truly take flight
That this tiny life had purpose, even if it was brief
And that their memory will live on, giving us relief

So though the pain may linger, we hold onto the hope
That one day we’ll be reunited, and our hearts will no longer mope
For the loss that never leaves, will one day be made right
As we embrace our little one, in a place where there is no night.
