01

Aging and Death

"Silent Goodbye"

Quietly slipping away,
Leaving behind the pain.
No more tears to be shed,
As the darkness closes in.

02

Aging and Death

"Invisible Battle"

Fighting a war no one can see,
A constant struggle just to be.
The weight of the world on shoulders bent,
Until the final moment comes and went.

03

Aging and Death

"Empty Heart"

Feeling lost and all alone,
As if my heart has turned to stone.
No amount of love can fill the void,
As I give up hope and become destroyed.

04

Aging and Death

"Endless Sorrow"

A never-ending ache inside,
As I take this final ride.
No more reasons left to stay,
As I bid the world goodbye today.

Aging and Death

Just Today

Just today, I thought about dying
It feels like I'm tired of trying
I don't know if it's worth living
Or if it's something worth giving

I don't know if I'll get through this
Or if I'll make it to happiness
I'm not sure if I should hold on
Or just let go and move on

I feel lost and empty inside
And all these feelings I can't hide
I just want to lay down and sleep
And finally find my own peace

But then I think about tomorrow
And all the things I might miss out on
It gives me strength to fight through the sorrow
And to see a brighter dawn

So just today, I might have been weak
But tomorrow, there's still a chance to keep
Going and never give up
For life is worth living, regardless of what.

Aging and Death

The Edge of the World

I'm standing on the edge of the world
With arms wide open and unfurled
My heart is heavy, my mind is numb
And I'm waiting for the moment to come

The moment when I'll take the leap
Into the darkness, into the deep
I'll fall and fall until I'm gone
And all my pain will finally be done

They say suicide is not the answer
But what do they know about my cancer
The cancer that's eating me alive
And leaves me with no will to survive

I'm tired of pretending to be okay
And living through another day
Where the pain is just too much to bear
And no one seems to really care

But as I stand here, on the brink
I hear a voice that makes me think
Of all the wonders life could bring
And why I should not end this thing

So I step back from the edge of the world
With arms around me tightly curled
I'll keep trying, even when it's hard
And find a way to heal my broken heart.

Aging and Death

The Weight of Darkness

I feel the weight of darkness creeping in,
A monster that lurks beneath my skin.
It whispers lies into my mind,
Telling me I'm worthless, unkind.

I try to fight it off with all my might,
But sometimes it wins the fight.
And in those moments of despair,
I contemplate ending it all, right then and there.

The pain inside me is too much to bear,
I can't escape it, no matter where I stare.
My thoughts turn to death as a release,
A way to put my mind at peace.

I don't want to do this, I really don't,
But the darkness is too strong to confront.
I wish there was someone here to save me,
Someone to anchor me when the waves get wavy.

But I am alone with this monster inside,
And suicide seems like the only way to hide.
I know it's not the answer, I really do,
But sometimes the pain is just too true.

So I'll hold on tight and try to stay strong,
To fight alongside others who feel they don't belong.
We'll remind each other that we're not alone,
That together, we can make a home.

And though the weight of darkness still lingers,
I know there's hope for my fingers.
I'll keep reaching out for help each day,
And maybe, just maybe, the darkness will go away.

The Longing for the End

Verse 1:
I'm drowning in a sea of grey,
No light, no hope, no sign of day.
I cannot bear this pain, this strife,
I need a way out of this life.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.

Verse 2:
I've tried to find the strength to cope,
To hold on tight, to cling to hope,
But every step is like a weight,
Dragging me down, sealing my fate.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.

Verse 3:
I've thought about it every day,
A way to make it all go away,
To feel the rush of endless sleep,
And never again this pain to keep.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.

Verse 4:
I know the hurt it will cause,
The tears, the heartache, the great loss,
But in my mind, it seems alright,
To leave this world, to end the fight.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.

Verse 5:
But then I think of those left behind,
The ones who loved me, who were kind,
And though it pains me, I must stay,
For their sake, I'll find another way.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.

Verse 6:
I'll seek out help, reach for a hand,
And try to find a way to stand,
To fight this battle, day by day,
And slowly chase the grey away.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.

Verse 7:
So if you're feeling like I felt,
Lost, alone, as if you've dealt,
With all the pain this life can bring,
Remember, you're not facing anything.

Chorus:
The longing for the end;
A sweet release, my dearest friend,
A chance to end this agony,
And finally, at last, be free.
